He isn't sure he buys the idea this "enlightenment" adventure is a truly unique plant that has been passed down for centuries, but he's not going to protest or complain. He is sure he buys it's something valid, whatever it is. Been around enough to attract tourists to its wares instead of being some odd back alley dealing, so. Maybe they're not doing the Plant of Ancient Wisdom, that's okay. They're not doing anything to send them to the ER or morgue. That's what matters when he has immunity and his wife does not.
He has more reservations about their pipe, which he thinks must be made from some sort of bone, than he does the fact they're about to inhale something illegal in all fifty states. Christ.
