He looked like he got dressed in the dark, Marty McFly or so he claimed. But I could tell there was something special about him right from the moment I saw him. I chatted him up, brought him a drink...and then he brushed me off. He told me I was nothing special. [ It's truly amazing how nostalgic Dorian looks when he's telling this story. ]
Well, I'm stubborn enough to get what I want, so I worked my way into Toby's social circle. We met again, I was rebuked, again. The third time though, we met up, I went back to his place, and we had an...eventful night.
[ Toby nommed on a girl right in front of Dorian and scared the shit out of him. ]
By the end of the night, we had both come to an understanding that we'd be good for each other. I don't know whether I wore him down or I finally proved myself to him, but those months afterward...God, they were so wonderful.

He got ported in after I had a disastrous string of lovers. [ well, after Yuri and Dio. Kate wasn't disastrous, it was just more 'why were they dating in the first place.' Abduxel was awesome until Dorian broke it off by being an ass and having Tobias Matthews tunnel vision. ]
We had just recently, ah, made up back home, so our relationship was on shaky footing then. [ Toby got brought back from the dead due to magic tarot cards. ] We gave each other space here at first, because he didn't want to disturb the life I made for myself. I, however, desperately wanted him to disturb that life, so it should come as no surprise we ended up back together.
You're a tragic romantic, Dorian. Good job. I...mm. Wouldn't have bet that.
